North Berwick Trust Ltd is inviting applications for grants to help local charities and businesses recover from the economic impact of the Coronavirus emergency.
Initially, the Trust supported the Kindness Cooperative and the Community Council’s Resilience Effort. More recently, the Trust has supported a number of self-employed people and small businesses, covering a wide range of business types – personal services, crafts, trades, and businesses employing staff – mainly businesses that have fallen through the cracks of government schemes. Now we are widening the Covid-19 Business Support Scheme to include local charities.
If your business is in trouble as a result of Covid-19, or if your charitable organisation needs help to continue to support the community through the present crisis, we would be pleased to receive an application from you.
The Trust would also be pleased to receive grant applications for help with additional Covid-related costs, such as the installation of screens, signage, hand sanitisers, etc.
To be eligible, you must live or work in the North Berwick area or your business or charity must be based in North Berwick. The closing date for applications in this grants round is 18th September 2020.
