In autumn 2019, North Berwick Trust were delighted to support North Berwick Rugby Football Club (NBRFC), providing 50% of funding to carry out refurbishment works to their existing clubhouse.
NBRFC needed to bring their old facilities up to date and the new look clubhouse is now looking fantastic! Gone is the green banquette seating, old patterned carpet and pub like vibe. It looks so much fresher, lighter and inviting and is much more appealing to a wide range of users, particularly families.
The intention was to renovate the space to make it not only more welcoming for families and children, but also more usable for non-sporting groups, thus broadening its appeal to the rest of the community. The interior space has been completely refreshed. In addition, a new wider door has been installed to improve disabled access and the old clubhouse windows have been replaced, offering improved safety and security for clubhouse users and thermal efficiency, particularly during less busy periods. The club are also intending to improve the frontage, entrance and external space as a second phase of the project.
Every user will appreciate the refurbished interior & generally more welcoming appearance. The hope is that this fantastic space will now attract a range of new users, particularly families. NBRFC are looking forward to seeing the venue being used by a variety of non-sporting groups and individuals. There is ample parking and open space around the clubhouse, and the expectation is that this newly renovated space will provide the ideal venue for a variety of organisations, clubs and private functions.
